Reel Media HD captures the power of Ayikodans

Tiffany Muzante, owner of Reel Media HD, didn’t hesitate when asked to provide an in-kind high-definition performance reel for Ayikodans, set to take center stage at the Adrienne Arsht’s Carnival Studio on May 21 and 22, 2011.

Growing up, her family exposed her all types of arts, from dance, to music, singing and acting. She knows firsthand the positive impact in which the arts can have in one’s life.

“The performing arts is a field that enriches mind, body and soul and provides a form of expression that is, at its core, both transcendental and fundamentally human,” says Muzante.

During Ayikodans rehearsals, Muzante aimed to capture the deeply emotional and extremely technical ways this dance company from Haiti unravels their story on stage.

She says, “Ayikodans and their mission is nothing short of excellence.”

“This company prepared me to present myself as a proud Haitian,” said Daniel Brevil, Ayikodans drummer

ALERT: Adrienne Arsht adds second Ayikodans performance

13 05 2011

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts has added another Ayikodans performance to meet the increasing demands of ticket sales. This afternoon, tickets were made available for a daytime Ayikodans performance on Sunday, May 22 at 2 p.m. (Purchase tickets here).

Proceeds from each performance, along with other fund-raising efforts taking place such as the May 14 auction at the AE District, will help to create sustainable support for Haiti by reviving the culture through the arts.

Committee members behind this non-profit endeavor are happy to know that more South Florida residents will have a chance to see the Dance Company from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in action at the Carnival Studio.

“It is a privilege for our construction company to be able to use our resources to help Ayikodans, an important cultural pillar of the Haitian community,” said Tom Murphy, CEO of Coastal Construction – just one of the sponsors who have helped bring Ayikodans to the Adrienne Arsht’s fifth-anniversary season.
